Sunset over the Cullins

Updated: Jul 2, 2019

The isle of Skye is getting more and more popular. This can probably be contributed to the easy access going over the bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh and the stunning scenery. From experience most people head straight up to Portree, but if you head south before Broadford, towards the ferry terminal at Armadale we have found an amazing spot to park our campervan, Just outside a small village called Ord.

Just over half an hour from Kyle of Lochalsh

Sign posted to Ord off the A851. Single track with passing places

Park your van on some hard standing right at the waters edge and enjoy some great views of the Cullins. An added bonus is that the sun sets over these iconic Scottish mountains. Hope for a bit of wind as the midge can be a nightmare, especially June - August. They don't bother Lucy Lui though.

Thanks for looking, maybe see you there !!!
