The UK’s most innovative and retail-friendly new products have been recognised at the New Products Awards during the first day of the PATS show in Telford.
The winners of the New Product Awards, sponsored by PBW News, were chosen by a team of independent retailers and retail experts, who deliberated during the morning of Sunday, September 25, in order to make their choices from a record number of over 340 new products entered.
Their decisions took into account a number of criteria such as product innovation, design, quality, packaging, value for money and sustainability, and all judges agreed that the wide range of entries showed a high degree of innovation.
The Awards were presented to the winners today (Sunday) by David Rees, editor of PBW News, and show organiser Gordon Thomas.
PET CARE PRODUCT
We were absolutely delighted to win the best new pet care award. Our doughnut recovery collars provide a more comfortable alternative to the dreaded 'cone of shame' as well as making your poorly pooch look just so cute in their recovery.
This is what the judges had to say, ''This recovery support is a great innovation for pets and softer to use than a traditional cone''
We decided to bring these doughnut recovery collars due to our own dog Lucy Liu as the traditional cone from the vets was making her distressed and miserable. This in turn was making us miserable and we had to do something about it.
This was the first time bringing our doughnuts to the Pets Association Trade Show and it was a hugely enjoyable experience for us.
PATS Telford was the biggest event to date with over 240 businesses and brands showcasing their products, with many start-up businesses taking advantage of the New Starter Zone in Hall 3, which is was new for this year.
During the 2 day event there were 2,185 visitors and it was a real pleasure getting to chat with loads of independant pet shop owners, Vets, groomers and all sorts of pet related businesses in between. We also had a visit from the innovation team at pets at home 👍 😀
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to visit us !!
